Obituary Patrick Gordon Cleary Beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, and last of the L.T. Clearys. Patrick Gordon Cleary passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday January 4, 2012, in the company of family. Pat was born in Spokane, WA on April 29, 1929, the 7th child of Leslie Thomas and Alice Anne (Hambrook) Cleary. Pat attended St. Patrick's Grade School and Bellarmine Prep. He later attended Seattle University and spent 3 years in the US Army (Alaska Communication System). Pat married Mollie McCormick on October 16, 1954. They have 8 children, 14 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. After his discharge from the Army in 1955, he worked for various title insurance companies and owned his own independent real estate appraisal business. He liked bowling, fishing, and bird hunting, and was active in the Knights of Columbus. He was a gregarious, devoted family man and friend who was called "Uncle Pat" by many. Pat goes to join his parents, brothers and sisters, Theresa (Louis) Burkey, Betty (Jim) Scott, Mary Jeanne (Bob) Norling, Katie Browne, Leslie (Rita) Cleary, and Matt Cleary, his grandson Roman Smith, and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. He is survived by his wife Mollie, children Pat Jr. (Dana), Peggy, Tim, Katie (Tom) Smolic, Ellen (Randy) Sherman, Dennis (Sarah), Colleen (Fred) Schacht, and Maureen (Steve) Radotich, grandchildren Fiona and Melia Cleary, Pete Tonnema, Tamara and Ryan Smolic, Milo Sherman, Julian, Alice, and Aurora Cleary, Jake and Josh Schacht, and Reggie and Mickey Radotich, great-grandson Jamison Smolic, many nephews and nieces of Burkey, Scott, Norling, Browne, Cleary, Taylor, Centen, and Grant lineages, and sister-in-law Barbara Cleary. Rosary will be said at St. Patrick Church, North 11th and J St., on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at St. Patrick Church on Wednesday, January 11th at 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be made to St. Patrick Parish, 1001 N J St., Tacoma 98403, or Bellarmine Prep, 2300 S. Washington, Tacoma 98405.
