Obituary Patricia A. Monroe Patricia Ann Monroe passed away suddenly on December 3, 2009 in her home at Merrill Gardens, Tacoma. She was born on January 14, 1925 in Tacoma, WA to Patrick and Nora Keely. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, and brother, James Keely. She is survived by 4 children: Maureen Miller, Marilyn (Mark) Laviola, Jim Monroe and John Monroe. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren: Erin (Jose) Gorospe and Kristin (Jim) Yurina and 5 great-grandchildren: Conor and Keely Gorospe and Tyler, Haley and Chase Yurina. She is also survived by her nieces, Jamaine and Sara, and their families, as well as an extended family in Ohio. Pat worked most of her life in the downtown Tacoma area for Bill Larsen and Associates (formerly Walter W. Cribbins Company) and earlier for Weyerhaeuser Company. Her favorite past times were going out to lunch especially with the "birthday girls", and going to the casinos with her friends from Merrill Gardens. Please join us for a funeral service celebrating her life on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 10:30 am at the Gaffney Funeral Home, 1002 S. Yakima Ave., Tacoma, WA 98405.
