Otto Meyer Moe

Obituary Otto Meyer Moe, born April 19, 1915 in Chicago, Illinois, died December 6, 2005 at home. Otto's family moved to the area when he was five years old. As a young adult he worked with the CCC at Mt. Rainier, he was a commercial fisherman and a Merchant Marine. Otto was an Army veteran of WWII serving in occupied Japan. After the service he fished again commercially for a time before becoming a cabinet maker. Otto was a member of Carpenters and Joiners of America for more than 50 years. In later life, he enjoyed remodeling, gardening and fishing. Otto is survived by his wife of 64 years, Helen; daughter Joanna (Richard) Garrison; sister Ruth Benson; 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Alf Moe. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 12, 2005, 10:30 am at the Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Please leave online condolences at www.gaffneyfuneralhome.com.
