ORAN LEE JOHNSON

Oran Lee Johnson, a resident of Bonney Lake, passed away on July 27, surrounded by his loving family.  He was 39.

Oran was born in Everett in 1984 and then was raised in Fall City by his mom and his beloved grandparents.  Oran met the love of his life, Kelly Stephens, in 2009 on Halloween.  They married in 2013 and had a warm, loving, and silly relationship.

In addition to Kelly, the joy of Oran’s life was his two cherished children, Cooper and Reese.  They enjoyed soccer, outdoor walks, puzzles, board games, and spending time with Kelly’s extended family, especially Sunday dinners.  Oran also was a rabid fan of the Seahawks, Sounders and Mariners, often watching games with the family.

Oran received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree, both in accounting, from the University of Phoenix and then worked in various accounting jobs, which he always enjoyed and found challenging.

The family would like to extend its gratitude to the staffs at the University of Washington Medical Center at Montlake and Fred Hutch Cancer Center for their extraordinary care over the past several years.

Oran is survived by his wife Kelly and kids Cooper and Reese, as well as Kelly’s extended family.  Oran was predeceased by his parents and grandparents.  The family suggests donations to Fred Hutch as well as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  The family also encourages joining the bone marrow donor registry at BeTheMatch.org.

A celebration of life for Oran will occur Sunday, August 11 from 3-6 at the Star Center in Tacoma. Seattle Sportswear is highly encouraged.
