Obituary Naoma Ruth (White) Doyle Naoma Ruth (White) Doyle was born on March 24, 1924 in Yakima, WA to Ruth (Lambdin) and William Andrew White, Sr. She passed away on February 13, 2014 in Federal Way, WA with her daughter at her side. She graduated from the now unremembered Yakima High School and then followed her older sister to Tacoma to help with the war effort where she became an electrician's apprentice. In 1943 she married one of the top marine electricians from the Tacoma area, Del Doyle, and then the Navy shipped them both off to Chicago and later to San Diego. Naoma worked all her life, first in the fruit canneries of Yakima, then at Sperry's Mill, Weyerhaeuser and Pacific Storage in Tacoma where she managed rates and tariffs traffic. She was the president of the Women's Traffic Club of Tacoma for several years. Naoma was a long-time resident of Tacoma where she and her husband constructed their own brick home in the North End. She is survived by her only child, Patricia Marie (Doyle) Pugnetti and son-in-law, William Robert Pugnetti. She is preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Cleveland Patrick Doyle; sisters, Norma Foy and Lucy Strawn; and brother, William White, Jr. We will remember her infectious, devilish laughter; love of swimming (she achieved a 50 mile pin from the YWCA), enjoyment of gardening, her fabulous expertise in cooking and wonderful sewing abilities. At Naoma's request, there will be no services held and her cremated remains will be combined with her late husband's. Please leave online condolences at www.gaffneycares.com.
