Nancy Joan Dripps

Obituary Nancy J. (Olsen) Dripps Nancy J. Dripps, beloved mom, grandma, great-grandmother and friend, born January 13, 1928, passed away October 31, 2009. Nancy, a lifelong resident of Tacoma, graduated from Stadium High School in 1946 and then retired from the Tacoma School District Food Service in 1993. Since 1993 she enjoyed a life of volunteer work at both Christensen Elementary and Tacoma general Hospital. At T.G. she worked as the "Medical Records' Mom". Nancy was a huge Mariner fan and all-around baseball enthusiast. She welcomed her backyard birds and was delighted when she had the chance to play cards or dominos with her elementary school girl friends. She enjoyed traveling both in and out of the U.S., but her favorite trips were to visit her dear friend Helen, in both Arizona and Colorado. Nancy was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her, but will always be remembered for her wonderful smile and good heart. We all rejoice she's home with the Lord and past loved ones. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Allan, in 1996. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Bob) Otto, Tacoma, Son Larry, Tacoma; granddaughters, Megan of Spokane and Caitlin of Tacoma; great-granddaughter, Akaiyah, Tacoma; special friends Pearl Klier, Maple Valley and Marjorie Sams, Tacoma. A service of Remembrance and Celebration will be held at 2:00pm, November 14th at Trinity Lutheran Church, 12115 Park Ave. s. Tacoma, WA 98444.
