Obituary Miyo Roth born July 25, 1920 in Yokahama, Japan, died June 15, 2005 in Shoreline. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandaunt. Miyo had a lifelong love of music and sang in the chorus at Kyoritsu High School and sang solo at her graduation. She went on to graduate from Tokyo Women's Christian University and was a linguist in English as well as pursuing a career as an office worker and U.S. Navy employee in Japan. It was there that she met her husband, Clarence, in the late 1950's. They were married and moved to the U.S. in the early 1960's, living in San Diego until 1977. They enjoyed 22 years in Tacoma, where they moved, to be closer to family. Shortly after Clarence's death in 1999, Miyo moved to an adult family home in Shoreline where she made new friends and thrived in her new surroundings for her remaining years. She is survived by her sisters Sumiko and Keiko, grandniece Valerie, son Tim (Sherry), daughters Caryn and Barbara, various nieces, nephews and family members. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 25, 2005, 10:00 a.m. at the Calvary Cloisters Chapel with inurnment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
