Obituary Minnie Mihalovich Minnie Mihalovich, born in Tacoma on August 12, 1913, died September 29, 2008, Gig Harbor, WA. A lifetime area resident, she was a founding member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Legion of Mary, the Slavonian Lodge and past president of both the Catholic Woman's Club and the Young Ladies Institute. For many years she worked as a hostess at Nettie's during the Puyallup Fair, and had worked at Gosselin's Grocery Store. Minnie and her husband were big supporters of Bellarmine. Minnie had a beautiful back yard where she loved to work in the garden and show off her flowers. She loved to cook and entertain and belonged to many Bridge groups over the years. Later in life Minnie traveled, taking trips to Europe, Croatia, Israel and Rome. Minnie was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence and a poodle named "Pene" who she loved like a son. She is survived by brother, Anton Kuljis, and a large extended family that includes many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 2, 2008, 11:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Entombment at Calvary Cloisters.
