Obituary Michiko Mizumoto Michiko, age 80, of Federal Way, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2006 at home surrounded by her loving family and relatives, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Michiko was born April 25, 1926 in Tacoma to Shikataro and Chiyo Nakagawara, the youngest of five children. She attended Stadium High School, but graduated from Hunt High School in Minidoka Relocation Camp in 1944. On her 22nd birthday, she married Eiichi Mizumoto in Seattle. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Eiichi Mizumoto, daughter Beverly Hayashi (Dr. Richard Hayashi, DDS), son Dr., Michael Mizumoto, DVM (Margaret), five grandchildren: Marc and Kevin Hayashi, Ryan, Robert, and Andrea Mizumoto; sisters: Komayo Hara of Bronx, NY, Masako Sako of Seattle; brothers Minoru (Toyoko) Nakagawara and Hiroshi (Mary) Nakagawara. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, and we'll always remember her outgoing personality and radiant smile. A memorial service will be held at the Tacoma Buddhist Temple on Saturday, May 27, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Michiko's name to Franciscan Hospice, PO Box 1502, Tacoma, WA 98401.
