Obituary MICHAEL PETROVICH, JR. Michael was born on 3-4-24 to Mike and Verna Petrovich in Ronald, WA. They moved to Tacoma in 1935. He attended Holy Rosary, McCarver and graduated from Lincoln in 1942. He passed away from complications from heart surgery. He joined the Merchant Marines in 1942. Served in US Army during the Korean Conflict. Mike worked for the City of Tacoma, Light Department for 34 years and retired in 1987. He was a member of the YMCA Cardiac Rehab since 1981. Mike married Carol Smith in 1954 who had two daughters, Christine and Kathleen. Gail and Mike were born to this marriage. Carol passed away in 1999. Mike married Beverly Phillips in 2004 and resided in University Place. Surviving are his children; Chris (Don), Kathy (Mark), Gail (David) and Mike (Carol), sisters; Dorothy Willis (Dick), Patricia Retallich, brothers; John (Carol) and David (Diane). He had 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Mike was a member of Holy Rosary since 1935. He was a man of faith who knew his Lord. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, December 26, 2008 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church located at 34th & Tacoma. Rosary will be recited prior to mass at 10:30 am also at the church. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
