Obituary Mike J. Nickolas, of Tacoma passed away January 5, 2008. He was born Aberdeen, WA and was the oldest son of George and Mary Babich Nickolas and lived most of his life in Tacoma. He served in the Americal Division of the US Army in the South Pacific during the liberation of the Philippines, and retired as a Car Man for the Railroad. He was a longtime member of Narrows Bridge VFW Post # 10018, and of Holy Cross Catholic Church. He is survived by his three children, Rosemary (Randy) Dedrickson of Milwaukee, OR, Sandra (Jonathan) Myers and Mike Nickolas Jr., of Vancouver, WA; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and brother Nick P. (Gloria) Nickolas of Tacoma. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 11, 2008 at 11:00am at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited Thursday, 7:00 pm at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment at Calvary Cloisters.
