Merle W. Jenkins

Obituary Merle W. Jenkins, born June 9, 1928, passed away on January 12, 2011. Merle was born in Worthington, MN and moved to Washington as a young man. He lived in Tacoma most of his life and worked at West Coast Grocery where he retired after 34 years of service. He was a past member of the Elks and Eagles, an avid fisherman and also enjoyed music and dancing. Merle is survived by his children, Bob, Denise (Kevin) and Kevin (Lori), six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two brothers, Sam and Doug. Merle was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria (Stortini) Jenkins. The family wishes to acknowledge the special care by Geri and the staff at Bernadette Jones A.F.H. A service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 17, 2011 at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel. Viewing at the funeral home Sunday, January 16, 2011, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.
