Obituary Melvin Ray Mackay Melvin Ray Mackay, son of Melvin Hoyt Shields and adopted son of Roland Russel Mackay, was born May 14, 1945 and passed away April 22, 2013. He attended Bellarmine Preparatory School and St. Martin's College. A devoted father, Mel loved spending time golfing, hunting, and fishing with his sons, and adored spoiling his daughters. Always a generous and loving man, he will be missed by many. He is survived by his mother, Mary Rita Mackay; his wife of 46 years, Anita; three brothers, six children and seven grandchildren. Rosary will be recited and Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 1:30pm at Visitation Catholic Church. Graveside services at Calvary Cemetery to follow.
