Obituary MAUREEN VERONICA GORALSKI Maureen Veronica Goralski was born April 8, 1926 in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England and passed away December 19, 2008, with family at her side. Maureen moved to Perivale, outside of London, in 1935 where they resided through the end of World War II. In 1947 Maureen moved to Vancouver, BC and then moved to Tacoma in 1952. Maureen was a legal secretary working at several prominent Tacoma area law firms and the UPS Law School. She was a proud English woman, loving wife and mother, and an avid sewer and knitter. She had a warm heart, a sparkle in her eyes and mischievously witty sense of humor. Since 1964 she was an active member the choir, altar society and various other groups at St Charles parish. She survived by her sons Joseph and Paul (Milena), and her daughter Mary Kay (Jim); her sister Irene (Eric) and brother Harry (Doris); granddaughters Jennifer, Leslie, Lacie, and Jessica and great-grandchildren Emma & Noah. She is preceded in death by her husband Leonard, brother Cyril Brown, and granddaughter Lisa Goralski. The Rosary will be held at Gaffney Funeral Home, December 29th at 7:00pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St Charles Borromeo, December 30th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations may be made in Maureen's name to any of the following organizations or charities: The Alzheimer's Association, The Pancreatic Action Network (PANCAN), SIDS Foundation of Washington or St Charles Borromeo.
