Obituary Mary Zoril, age 82, from University Place, passed away Saturday, February 25th. Mary was a proud redhead and more than 100% Irish. As a lifetime homemaker, her energy was directed towards her ever-growing family. Mary was recognized as a supportive wife, loving mother, and world-class grandmother. Her irreverent humor brought joy and laughs to all the grand kids. Mary gracefully maintained civility and stability in her young household while her husband served in both Korea and Vietnam. Her household moved from Brooklyn, Germany, Kansas, Virginia, Illinois, and finally settled in Washington State. Mary was born in Chicago, IL on September 30, 1934 to Ethel and George Shields. She is survived by her husband John Zoril of 63 years; daughter Gail (Steve) Osterdahl of Port Orchard, son Michael (Nancy) Zoril of Houston, daughter Laurie (Curt) Oller of Tacoma, son Mark (Julie) loril of Minneapolis; grandchildren Danielle Matison, Kevin Adams, Jennifer Bonnett, Lauren Lyons, Stephanie Lopez, Molly Zoril, Courtney Oller, McKenna Oller, Quinn Zoril, and Neva Zoril; great-grandchildren Kelsey Rogers, Allie Matison, Hannah Matison, Elizabeth Matison, Aiden Bonnett, Ella Bonnett, and Josephine Lyons; sister Margaret Garber of Gig Harbor and brother George Shields of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Ethel Shields, and brother Thomas Michael Shields.
