Obituary Marlene Miles Bauer September 9, 1931 - April 17, 2016 Â Marlene was born September 9, 1931, in Beaumont, Texas to David Collis Miles and Ruby Melvina Evans Miles. She died April 17, 2016 in Tacoma, WA surrounded by her family. Marlene spent the first 10 years of her life in Texas, moving to Washington State in December 1941. She met her husband, Wolfred, in 1948 and they were married in 1953. Two years ago, Marlene and Wolfred celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family in Hawaii. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics and Institutional Management from the University of Washington. She was a voracious reader, loved to travel and was interested in listening to both live and recorded music. Marlene is survived by her husband of almost 63 years, Wolfred; two daughters, Laurie Bauer of Tacoma and Sheri Teesdale (David) of Lynnwood, WA; and her brother, Melvin Miles (Joyce) of Redmond, OR. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Patrick Teesdale of St. Paul, MN and Alexander Teesdale (Hannah) of Elgin, IL, as well as two great-grandchildren, Eliana and Ryan.
