Obituary Marjorie Constantine Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, August 9, 1922, Marjorie emigrated to the United States in 1924. Growing up the Western Pennsylvania town of West Newton, Marjorie graduated from high school, played on a women's baseball team, and her first job was in a steel mill. In 1943, Marjorie enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, achieving the rank of sergeant. In 1945, while on a train from North Carolina to Washington, D.C., Marjorie met a young Marine officer candidate. Marjorie married Second Lieutenant Edward L. Constantine on April 25, 1945 at Camp Lejune, North Carolina. Their marriage lasted for 60 years. Raising their six children was Marjorie's life's work. Marjorie and Edward motivated their children to achieve, and they sacrificed to give their children a good education. Marjorie also worked with Edward in his business, first in an employment agency, and later, in real estate. Marjorie acquired with years of practice culinary skills that won her high praise. Visitors would long remember a visit to her table. Marjorie loved animals. No dog or cat could ever find a better home than at Marjorie's house. Marjorie joins her husband, Edward, her son, Robert, her sisters Helen Tamasy and Jean Geisler, and her brothers Ralph Roe and Charles Fry. Marjorie is survived by her sister, Marian; her children, Edward, (Betsy), Mary Landburg, Michael, Christopher (Molly), Maureen Lett (Rick); her grandchildren Brian Landburg (Lori), Amy, Joe, Lewis, Lorraine, Robert, Sean, Peter, and Shannon, her great-grandchildren, Raleigh, Alexi, Eva and Emelia.
