Obituary MARIAN C. GLEASON Nov. 25 1916 - June 4, 2005 Marian passed peacefully with her family at her side at Tacoma Lutheran Home. Born in Seattle, the daughter of Matt and Mary Gray she moved to Tacoma and married Jim Gleason, deceased. A Renaissance woman of many talents and ambitions she served as a housewife, apartment house owner and manager, restaurant owner, and cook, State Representative for four terms, legislative lobbyist, and volunteer always at the service of others. Marian passed "Safe and Sane" legislation for fireworks, vocational training bills, and legislation supporting Labor interests. She is survived by a daughter Connie Roach (Don) Camas, WA and four sons Bill of Tacoma, Jim (Michelle) of Ollala, WA, Darcy (Claire) of Olympia, WA, Rob (Vicki) of Gig Harbor, WA. and nine grandsons. The family wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks for compassion and care provided by Tacoma Lutheran Home. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2005, 11:00am at Tacoma Elk's Lodge No. 174, 1965 S. Union Ave., Tacoma, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
