Obituary Marie Emma Moergeli "Emma" October 31, 1912 - April 23, 2005 A life-long resident of Tacoma, WA, and a member of Holy Rosary Parish, Emma is survived by her beloved spouse of 65 years, James R. Moergeli, Sr., and two children: James R. (Sandy) Moergeli, Jr. and Carol Ann (Greg) Rath. Emma left four grandchildren: Michelle Marie Moergeli, Laura Lee (James) Feider, Ann Marie (Ron) Voves, and Patrick (Tracy Szymanski) Rath. In addition, Emma loved and laughed with her six great-grandchildren: James Paul, Sarah and Katie Marie Feider; Ryan and Anthony Voves; and Tessa Rath. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Julia Hottott, and siblings: Clarence, Edna, Joe and Theresa. Emma graduated from Holy Rosary Grade School, Visitation Villa High School, and Racine Business College. Besides being a dedicated spouse, mother, and grandmother, Emma worked many years as a bookkeeper, culminating her career of 27 years with Mierow's Jewelry Store in Tacoma. In her retirement years, Emma enjoyed traveling to Asia, Europe, North America especially Hawaii, and South America. Additionally, Emma thoroughly enjoyed baking desserts, cooking Sunday family dinners, fishing on Puget Sound, and shopping at the Bon Marche. Rosary, viewing and Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Rosary Church will be Thursday, April 28, 2005 at 10:30 am. Reception immediately following at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Entombment will be at Calvary Cloisters. The family wants to thank Dr. Cynthia Edwards for the excellent care she received.
