Obituary Marie Regina Bertram July 1, 1914 - February 14, 2008 Born in Stockett, Montana, left this world on Valentine's Day, which would have been her 66th wedding anniversary. Marie moved with her family to Tacoma in 1925 and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1933. She graduated from Tacoma General School of Nursing in 1938 and worked as a nurse before starting her family in 1942. Marie loved her garden & reading, was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed the many years she and Tom traveled before his passing in 1991. Preceded in death by her beloved Tom; her parents, Andrew & Mary (Martaus) Drobnack; brothers George & Ed Drobnack and sister, Helen Giles. Survived by brother, Andrew Drobnack and wife, Margaret of Graham; sister-in-law, Edna Drobnack of Federal Way and sister-in-law Rosmary and husband, Charles Close of Tigard, Oregon. Also mourning her loss are her children, Tom (Kathy), Edgewood; Sally Flynn (Bob), Lacey; Sandy Roy (Steve), Lacey & Marty (Linda), Tacoma; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes especially to thank the exceptional staff at Franke Tobey Jones for their gentle and loving care of Marie, not only during her final days, but throughout the five years she lived there. We also are grateful to Angela from Group Health Hospice for the help she gave the family during this very difficult time. A private memorial service is being planned.
