Obituary Marian Vimont Marian Vimont, of Milton, died on 10/13/2009. Marian, the eldest of 2 children, was born on 4/29/1920 to George and Laura Schwarz in St. Louis. Marian graduated from Harris Teachers College, and after teaching for several years, married Richard Vimont in 1945. Marian was one of the founders of the Milton Library and participated for many years in the library's development. She enjoyed music and outdoor activities, especially gardening, bird-watching, and hiking, and provided support in helping to establish the Milton Interurban Trail. Marian was preceded in death by her husband Richard. She is survived by her sister, Jean Cadwell, by her three children, Thomas (Jane) Vimont, Joanne (Robert) Shore, and John (Terry) Vimont, by 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 17, 11 a.m. at Gaffney Funeral Home.
