Maria Catina (Mary) Thompson

Obituary Maria (Mary) Catina Thompson January 3, 1923 ~ July 25, 2015 Mary was born in New York City in 1923; she was the daughter of Sicilian immigrants. She married William (Bill) Bruce Thompson in 1946 and they were happily married for 57 years. She was a member of Holy Cross and St. Charles Borromeo. She was a long time member of Tacoma Yacht Club. She enjoyed cooking, fishing with her husband, gardening, and spending time with animals. Her authentic Sicilian pizza was known and will be missed by many. Mary Catina Thompson passed away on July 25, 2015 at 92 years old in Tacoma, Washington. She is survived by her sister, Pietrina Bucher; and her children, Celeste, Claudia, and Jon; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; and her brother, John Amodei. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 2:00pm at Calvary Cloisters Visitation Chapel in Tacoma.
