Margaret Prendiville

Obituary Margaret "Peggy" Prendiville passed away on January 24, 2019 after an extended illness. Peggy was born in County Kerry, Ireland, on August 9, 1926. Her family immigrated to San Francisco, California, where she was raised, attended school and worked for Mutual of Omaha Life Insurance Company doing clerical work. In 1976, Peggy moved to Seattle, Washington and continued to do clerical work and telemarketing before retiring and buying a home in Tacoma. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, a niece and five siblings, including her twin sister, Catherine "Kay" Sbragia. She is survived by three nephews and by her long-time partner, Richard Griffin. Peggy enjoyed giving to various charities and visiting and giving gifts to her grandnephews and nieces. Visitation for Peggy will be held on February 7th at Gaffney Funeral Home, 1002 S. Yakima Ave., Tacoma 98405. A Memorial Mass followed by a reception will be held on Friday, February 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 5510 N. 44th St., Tacoma 98407. Following the Mass and reception, there will be a graveside service at Gethsemane Cemetery, 37600 Pacific Hwy. S., Federal Way 98003.
