Obituary Margaret Hoffman Margaret Hoffman, 88, died peacefully on Monday, Sept. 1, surrounded by her loving family. Mom was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a friend to many and always available to lend an ear and moral support. Her strength and compassion guided many through good times and bad. Margaret loved family gatherings, celebrations with friends and anything involving her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Margaret was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Parish. She is finally reunited with dad, the love of her life and husband of 60 years. Theirs was a love story that will never be matched. She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Hoffman; her parents, James and Flora Ward; and 10 brothers and sisters. Margaret is survived by her children: Timothy (Margie), daughters, Sheila (Andy) Gorder and Patsy Hoffman; 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her "family" at the Wynwood of Allenmore where she had her cozy little apartment the last two years. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00am at Calvary Cemetery, 5212 - 70th Street W., Tacoma, WA 98467, followed by a reception at V.F.W.
