Obituary Margaret Mary (Freeman) Hallan Margaret Mary (Freeman) Hallan was born on July 25, 1922 in Tacoma, WA to Robert James and Margaret Mary (Carr) Freeman and passed away on April 10, 2013 at Alaska Gardens in Tacoma. Margaret grew up in the Tacoma area and attended local schools. She married Eugene Othello Hallan on October 5, 1946 in Tacoma. He preceded her in death on September 11, 2006. Margaret moved to El Cajon, CA with her husband in 1952. Margaret stayed home to raise her four daughters and was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Parish in southern California. In 1976 her family moved back to the Pacific Northwest, residing in Tacoma and Kent. She enjoyed sewing and making clothes for her children and later sold her clothes at local boutiques. She enjoyed reading and taking walks. Margaret is survived by her daughters, Virginia Ann (Mark) Fisher, Patricia Mae (Bob) Key, Diana Marie Vance, and Pamela Jean (Steve) Wingate, five grandchildren, John Lawrence (Annie) Fisher, Matthew Nadelson, Hannah (Justin) Stark, William (Jessica) Vance, and Andrea (Eric) Hindmon, one great-grandchild, Liam Hindom; sister, Isabelle Pirnie, of Tacoma; sisters-in-law, Jennie Freeman, of Tacoma, Micki Freeman, and Roberta MacDonald, and several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; brothers, Robert, Don, John and Bernard; sisters, Dorothy Glasser and Corrine Dickenson; and grandson, John Ross Fisher. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 11:00am at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. Please leave online condolences at www.gaffneycares.com.
