Obituary Margaret Maye Chaloner Margaret Maye Chaloner, 84, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2013, in Tacoma, Washington, surrounded by her husband and family. Margaret was born in Seattle on January 5, 1929, to Harry Taylor and Marie Barry. She attended Holy Names Academy. Upon her marriage, she moved to Tacoma where she lived most of her life. She worked at Rhodes Department Store, Wolfe and Sons Wholesale, as well as helped her husband run their business at National Auto Parts of Federal Way. Margaret spent 30 years volunteering her time at Holy Rosary School and Church, decorating for countless weddings, Christmas bazaars and auctions. She and her husband hosted the annual 8th Grade Picnic at their lake property for Holy Rosary eighth graders for 38 years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, daughter, sister and friend. Devoting her life to taking care of those she loved. A spunky, generous and friendly lady, she made new friends everywhere she went. She is loved and will forever be missed, leaving great memories behind. She is busy decorating God's Heaven now. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Sidney Chaloner, her three sons, W. Barry Chaloner, of Colorado, Michael Chaloner, of Tacoma and James Chaloner, also of Tacoma, four grandchildren, Kellie Smith (Chaloner), of Puyallup, Michelle Williams (Chaloner), of Puyallup, James Chaloner, Jr., of Tacoma, Kristine Chaloner, of Tacoma, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 7:00pm at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 10:00am at Holy Rosary Church in Tacoma. Interment at Gethsemane Cemetery, Federal Way, with reception to follow. Donations may be made to Holy Rosary School in Margaret's name. Please leave online condolences at www.gaffneycares.com.
