Obituary Marcella J. Burrows Marcella J. Burrows, born September 10, 1906 in Melrose, Minnesota died August 16, 2007 just short of her 101st birthday. She had been a longtime area resident and member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Marcella's faith and family were extremely important to her and she enjoyed caring for them in any way she could. She loved cooking, and especially baking her specialty pies and cookies. She loved flowers and always had a garden. Marcella is survived by her daughters, Joan Sterling, Dorothy (Tom) Murphy, Kathleen (John) Holt; sons, Michael (Vera) Burrows, Jim (Deann) Burrows; sister, Helen Eltrich; brother, Raymond Eltrich; sisters in law, Madeline Eltrich, Martha Burrows as well as a large extended family that includes numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest L. Burrows; son, Daniel Burrows; son in law, Merl Sterling; sisters, Dorothy Gleason, Julietta Roth, Jeanne Eltrich and brothers, Dr. Martin Eltrich and Francis Eltrich. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staffs of Tacoma Lutheran Home, Franciscan Hospice, St. Charles Parish and especially Pat Gleason, a very special niece for their care and support. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, August 22, 2007 11:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 7:00 pm in the Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Please leave online condolences at www.gaffneyfuneralhome.com.
