On December 11th 2021 our community lost a dedicated, reliable, driven and loving man named Maciej. Many in the American community called him “Machek” as he would make his name easy to pronounce while brightly smiling at the person whom he was interacting with.
Maciej Marek ZIniewicz, as is his full name, was born In Poland. He spent most of his life on fishing vessels working all around the world. He is known as an expert in his field and is respected by many. His dedication to detail and efficiency was seen in everything he worked on. His goal was always to provide for his family and create a beautiful home for everyone to enjoy and find peace in. Outside of work Maciej loved social gatherings.
He was the life of the party from dancing to playing the accordion he made sure people were engaged and felt comfortable to sit, eat and share a laugh or two. Maciej leaves behind his two sons, Przemyslaw and Kuba and his granddaughter, Aalia. Maciej is finally at peace and is able to rest with no worries while being reunited with his loving wife who passed away in 2019.
His life will always remind us the importance of setting goals and accomplishing them against all odds as that is how Maciej lived his life. If he believed he could do it, it would be done no matter what. He will be greatly missed by many.
