Lucille Lorraine Thompson

Obituary Lucille Loraine Bricker Thompson was born to Ernest and Bessie (Civis) Bricker August 8, 1915 in Belle Plain, Iowa. Lucille moved to Sandpoint, ID in 1942 with her daughter Ruth Forrester. In 1954 she moved to Tacoma, WA to be near her daughter Ruth. She worked in the dry cleaning industry for years. She married Orris Thompson on August 23, 1984. They had a wonderful life together for 19 years. They enjoyed family gatherings, playing cards, dancing, bowling and gardening. Lucille was a member of the Elks Lodge, the Pierce County Iris Society and had just received her 40 year pin from the Eagles Lodge. Lucille is survived by her grandsons Michael A. Nieto (Dorothy) Michelle and Stephanie of Flowery Branch, Georgia and Paul Nieto (Kim) and Brandon of Tacoma. Stepdaughter Eileen Smiley, step-granddaughters Donna Kuhlmann (Tim) and Evan. Kathryn Thomas (Dana) and Cassandra and Shanice. All of Tacoma, WA. Susan Meyer of Puyallup,WA. Sisters: Mildred Scarcello, Rathdrum, Violet Marie McCray, Issaquah, WA. Dorothy Keveton, Lyons, Ill. Phyllis Thurlow, Sandpoint, ID. Brothers: Wayne Bricker, Superior, MT. Phillip Bricker, Sandpoint, ID. Her husband, Orris Thompson, daughter Ruth Brixen, her parents Ernest and Bessie Bricker, brothers Harvard, Miles, Ernest Jr and Ted Bricker, sisters Betty Bricker and Louise Balison preceded her in death. She will be greatly missed. After her husband Orris passed she could not live alone so the family moved her to Willow's Garden Independent Living in Puyallup. She enjoyed her stay there. We thank them for their kindness and concern. Also special thanks to Linda's Home with a Heart and Linden Grove Health Care Center for the care and concern for her health. A memorial service will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 4519 112th. St. E., Tacoma, WA 98446 on April 19, 2008 at 2pm. Interment at Pinecrest Cemetery in Sandpoint, ID.
