Louis J Castrilli

Obituary Louis Castrilli born Feb. 21, 1927 in Hamilton, WA died peacefully in his home May 7, 2017, after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Helen: son Michael and daughter Laura. Louis was blessed to be called Papa by a special young man in New York named Nevin. Louis also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much, especially his great-niece Dawn who helped provide loving care for her uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Vinzie Castrilli and his sister Elizabeth Glassman. Louis loved his cars which included the Brown Bomber with which he won numerous drag racing trophies in the 50's and 60's. His original 1957 Chevrolet also won many show trophies. Later in life Louis was elected to the Washington State Street Rodder's Hall of Fame. The family would like to give many thanks to Franciscan Hospice for their loving care of Louis. Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 17th, 2017, 11:30 am, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4520 McKinley Ave, Tacoma WA 98404. Rosary will be recited just prior to Mass.
