Loran Frank Lamb

Obituary Loran "Bud" Lamb, born Dec. 22, 1925 at home in Solan, ND died Oct. 30, 2016 in Tacoma. He was an Army veteran of WWII and later worked as a Fueler servicing many of the ships that had supported the war. Bud was a talented musician as well and often played Taps while in the service and was later in a three piece band that played for many years. As a loving and supportive father in 1960 he moved his family from North Dakota to take a part time job in Washington just to make sure his children would have options as they got older that they wouldn't have in North Dakota. In retirement Bud was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with his family. Bud is survived by his children; Ron (Lori) Lamb, Nancy (Dan) Rutter, Ken (Colleen) Lamb: grandchildren; Sean and Tiffany Lamb, Lauren and Bailey Rutter and John and Kyle Lamb. He was preceded in death by his wife Julia in 2007. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, 9:00am at St. Charles Catholic Church. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
