Obituary Lonita Castleberry Lonita Castleberry passed away on April 20, 2006. She was born on May 21, 1917 to Frank and Mary Faker. She was the third oldest of 10 children and four of her brothers survive her. She was raised in Wichita, Kansas and shortly after graduating from Cathedral High School, she married Loren Castleberry. They moved from Kansas to Tacoma in 1942 to be close to Lonita's mother and family. He died in 1993, they had been married and in love for 58 years. They had 3 sons: Gene and his wife Yvonne, who live in Loveland, Colorado, Bob passed away in 1981 and his widow Deanne, who lives in Vancouver, Washington and Ron and his wife Mary Jo who live in Marysville, WA.; 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. The birth of her great great grandchild, Taylor, occurred only a few days before her death, but was a source of great pride and joy. Lonita had worked at Puget Sound Mattress, and she and her family owned and operated Rainier Hassock which later became Rainier Headboard. She was a member of WICS , St. Ann's Senior Citizens Club, Hooker Chemical Retiree's Club and had been active in the Scleroderma Foundation. She had a large and loving family and in her final days she was surrounded by their love and comfort. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Neil Hannigan and to the entire staff of Franciscan Hospice Residence. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation or the Franciscan Hospice Residence. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, April 27, 2006, 10:30 am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, April 26, 2006, 7:00 pm at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel. Private committal services will be held at Sumner Cemetery.
