Obituary Lois Louise Tucci Lois passed away peacefully on April 3, 2013 at home, with her family by her side, after a two year battle with cancer. She was born on August 24, 1947 in Tucson, Arizona to Hugh (Tex) and Margaret Horne. The family moved to Puyallup when Lois was 9 years old. Lois attended Puyallup High School and WSU. She was a vibrant and loving person full of life and always looking for her next adventure. No grass grew under her feet. Her long business career started with being a flight attendant with TWA, where she was able to travel the country. Other ventures included being a Mary Kay sales associate, opening a clothing store called Bianca's, a floral design business, a wall papering business, and a cake business. Lois also started Tacoma Junior Volleyball Club where she traveled around the country for 5 years with her two daughters and husband in tow. Her true and natural talent came in being a professional artist. She opened Gallery Row Art Studio in Gig Harbor, where for many years Lois taught water color painting. Her works of art received high accolades and were displayed in many studios. In 1974 Lois married the love of her life, Jim Tucci. Together they embarked on a wonderful journey that lasted 39 years and include two loving daughters, Heather and Melissa and seven grandchildren. In her later years, Lois opened a travel agency with her daughter Melissa. Traveling was one of Lois' favorite things to do. She loved to organize cruises with family and friends. Lois and her husband, Jimmy, would be the gracious hosts. Those trips are not to be forgotten as they made sure a fun time was had by all. Lois was preceded in death by her father, Tex Horne.
