Lloyd Haworth

Obituary Lloyd T. Haworth Reveille July 15, 1919, Taps November 3, 2008. He was born in Bellingham, WA. He grew up in Western Washington during the Great Depression. He graduated in 1937 from Auburn High School. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1938, proudly serving the next nine years for his country. He witnessed and survived the attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941. He married Joan and together they settled in Fife, WA. He was a barber for over 55 years. He continued to work until he was 87 years old at his one-chair barber shop at his home. He was a longtime, active member of St. Martin of Tours in Fife, attending daily Mass for over 50 years. He enjoyed steelhead fishing in his younger years, woodworking, leather crafts and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joan, two sons, Jack (Geri) of Puyallup, Jeff (Heidi) of Federal Way and grandchildren, Shane, Brad, Amanda and Alyssa and his sister Gertrude. Preceded by his brother William. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, November 7 at 11:00 am at St. Martin of Tours, Fife. Rosary at 10:30 am. Viewing at 10:00 am.
