Leslie Don Jackson , born July 20, 1932 passed away peacefully November 12, 2020 in Tacoma Wa.
Les was preceded in death by his first wife Jean, daughter Jeanyne, daughter Heather, son Douglas, and grandson Jonathan.
Les was born in Dierks, Arkansas to Nannie Lee and TE Jackson. In 1952 Les left home to join the navy where he served four years ending up at Ft. Lewis WA. He worked at the paper mill in Tacoma where he earned a retirement. Les had many interests including camping, fishing, dune buggies, dancing, and music. Most notably he was a proud member of the band, “The Old Country Boys” playing all around the area to the fans delight. Les was also a proud member of the VFW 969, donating and volunteering often to benefit others. Less is survived by his Loving Wife of 32 years, T.J. Jackson; son Leslie Jr. and Christopher Jackson, daughter Shannon Jackson and son-in-law Dan, daughter Tracie Tomsen; and step-children Gary, Chris and Kevin Tyler. Les has many Grand and Great Grand children. Les was truly loved and appreciated by all who knew him. He is truly missed.
