Leland Herman West

Obituary Leland Herman West April 2, 1927 ~ October 5, 2013 Lee was born in Ruskin, Nebraska. At age 9 his family moved to Portland, Oregon where he graduated from Benson High School and attended Oregon State University. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy after serving during WWII and the Korean War. He leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Betty; sister, Phyliss; children, Jodi and Mike; grandchildren, Jennifer, Scott, Chris, Angela, Stephen, Kimberly and Emma; and 4 great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 12:00pm at Gaffney Funeral Home, 1002 S. Yakima Ave, Tacoma. Inurnment at Tahoma National Cemetery.
