Laverne Marie Kingsbury

Obituary LaVerne Marie Kingsbury LaVerne Marie Kingsbury, 74, born May 5, 1935 died peacefully on May 13, 2009. She graduated from Stadium High School 1953. She is survived by her sister Donna Kingsbury of Puyallup, her brother Gerald Kingsbury of Vancouver, cousins: Joan Kawolski; Verna Rauscher, Laura Hebert, Ron Adams and several nieces and nephews. She retired from Qwest communications in 1985 after 32 years. LaVerne was an avid walker along the Ruston waterfront, Sound to Narrows each year and also walked for the fight against Aids. She was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church where she volunteered several days a week. We will miss her big smile and even bigger hugs. Viewing will be on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 10:00 am followed by Vigil at 7:00 pm at Gaffney Funeral Home 1002 S. Yakima, Tacoma. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 22, 2009, 11:00 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5510 N 44th , Tacoma. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
