Kyle R. Brinkman, 50, passed away on May 5, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Defiance, Ohio on July 27, 1973, to his parents, Larry and Janice (Barton) Brinkman. Kyle graduated from Napoleon High School in 1992. Immediately thereafter, Kyle left for his dedicated service to the United States Army. Kyle proudly and honorably served this country for 30 years, retiring as Command Sergeant Major. Kyle had multiple tours overseas and in combat zones, achieving the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star and numerous other awards and decorations for his service to include membership into the prestigious Sergeant Audie Murphy Club (SAMC). After retiring from the Army, he worked for the Disaster Preparedness Offices for FEMA, having travelled in the past year to provide invaluable assistance for victims of the Guam Typhoon and Hawaiian Fires. He is survived by his tremendous service-oriented family consisting of son, Devyn, daughter Laryn, eternally loving soulmate, Stacy, parents Larry and Jan, brothers Kraig and Kirk, nephew Kaige, nieces Kamry, Kylie, Kierstyn and Emma and former spouse, Melissa Ott. He is preceded in Heaven by his grandparents, Robert and Jean Barton, Lee and Bernita Brinkman and Cousin Troy Barton. Funeral services with full military honors shall be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Fort Lewis, JBLM. Your prayers for this family are greatly appreciated.
