Obituary Kazue (Uchida) Yotsuuye She was born on April 4, 1915, to Sahei and Iwaye Uchida in Tacoma, WA and died peacefully on May 16, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. She was the second of six children. She is survived by her brothers, Isamu (Toshiko) Uchida of Ontario, OR and Minoru (Nobi) Uchida of Puyallup, WA. She was predeceased by her parents and sisters, Kiyoko (Elmer) Nishimoto of Portland, OR and Ruth Chiyoko Uchida-Hung and her brother, Sho (Aiko) Uchida of Ontario, OR. She was also predeceased by her husband, Toju Yotsuuye, in 1981. Kazue's remaining loving family are her daughter, Elsie (Yotsuuye) Taniguchi; sons, Tommy (Jane) Yotsuuye and Roy "Skip" (Tracey) Yotsuuye. She has 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Kazue has many other family members including in-laws and nephews and nieces. She would like to thank her family and friends and the staff at Mill Ridge Village in Milton & Hospice for their loving concern and care. Kazue graduated as valedictorian of her 1932 Fife High School and Knapp's Business College in Tacoma, WA. She worked as a bookkeeper until she married Toju Yotsuuye of Brookville Gardens in Fife, WA. She is a member of the Puyallup Valley Japanese American Citizens League & Whitney United Methodist Church. A celebration of her life will be held at the Puyallup United Methodist Church 1919 W. Pioneer Avenue in Puyallup, WA 98371 on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 11:30 am with reception following.
