Kay Tjernell

Kay Elaine Tjernell, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend went to be with our Lord on December 9, 2020 after a hard-fought battle against pancreatic cancer.

Kay was born to Harold and Marian Elli on January 1, 1946 in Sandpoint, Idaho. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Deron Tjernell; grandson, Kyler Robinson; and sister, Mary Ann Sias. She is survived by her children Todd Tjernell of Sequim, Washington; Shane Tjernell of Lakebay, Washington; Jennifer Andrews, husband Chris, of Port Orchard, Washington; and Jana Roy, husband Troy, of Tacoma, Washington. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jake Tjernell, Beau Tjernell, Kelle Kay Tjernell, Dustin Tjernell, Hunter Roy, Peyton Roy, Haley Roy, and by three siblings.

Kay was known for her love and dedication to her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

At Kay’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the American Cancer Society.
