Kathryn Sundquist, a loved follower of Jesus, passed on to Heaven on July 29, 2023. She was born in Everett, WA to Andrew and Myrtle Robeck and at a young age accepted Christ as her Savior. She graduated from Aberdeen High School where she played on the school tennis team and played the violin in the orchestra. She graduated from Grays Harbor College and met her future husband Don Sundquist at Youth For Christ where they both sang. They were married in Tacoma after his return from the Korean War.
Although she was mostly a full time mother to her daughters, she also worked at times at some Northwest industries including Weyerhaeuser. She was a supportive piano accompanist for her husband and church choirs which Don directed. A meticulous seamstress, she created exceptional clothing and demonstrated an artistic talent in home decor. Gardening, skiing, baking, and traveling with family were her favorite hobbies.
Her husband Don died a year ago. She is survived by two daughters: Carol (Ron and son Chase) and Julie (Brian and son Sam). She also leaves a sister Eunice, sisters-in-law Carol Robeck and Morley Sundquist, niece Susan Peters, cousins Barbara Hatloe and Cindy Peterson, and many relatives, including those in Sweden and Finland.
