Kathleen Bernadette McGoffin

KATHLEEN B. McGOFFIN (McELWAIN) passed away on the third day of February 2025, in Tacoma. She was born on February 12, 1929 in Twin Falls, ID to the late Thomas and Mary McElwain (Williamson). She was the loving wife of Keith D. McGoffin whom she married on June 23, 1956.

She attended St. Patrick and Jason Lee Schools and graduated from Stadium High school in 1947. She attended The College of Puget Sound (UPS), Knapp Business College and had a secretarial career in Tacoma. She later became a devoted homemaker and mother of four children. She was an alum of Pi Beta Phi sorority; member of St. John Bosco Church and Catholic Woman's Club.

Kathleen is survived by her husband, two daughters, Teresa K. McGoffin (Brad Bray) of Hailey, ID and Lisa M. Roth (Ronald) of Walla Walla, WA; two sons, Kevin B. McGoffin (Mary) of Sedro Woolley, WA and Sean K. McGoffin of Tacoma; seven grandchildren, Alison Bray; Elias, Nicholas, Jacob Roth; Laura, Kathryn, Brendan McGoffin; and brother-in-law, James L. McGoffin (Gina) of Tigard, OR and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by grandson, Nathan T. Bray; sister, Rosemary E. Ford and brother Philip F. McElwain.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. John Bosco Church 112th St. S.W., Lakewood, WA with reception following in the Parish hall. In lieu of flowers, the family desires that donations be made to the McGoffin Family Endowment at Bellarmine Prep, 2300 So. Washington, Tacoma, WA. 98405.
