Obituary Katherine M. Meucci 1916 - 2005 Katherine M. Meucci, 88, passed away at home in Fife on August 6, 2005. She was born in Roslyn WA on August 14, 1916, the daughter of Matt and Frances Jasprica. She graduated from Stadium High School in 1934 and Knaps School of Business in Tacoma WA. In 1947 she married Ben (Bruno) Meucci. Prior to marriage she worked as a bookkeeper in the Tacoma area. She owned and operated The Royal Pacific Motel at Ocean Shores WA for 30 years. She was the treasurer and a 50-year member of the Croatian Fraternal Lodge #867. She was also a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. She is survived by her 4 children: Nick Meucci, Tacoma; Katherine (Robert) Ortblad, Seattle; JoAnn (Dr. Andy) Stergachis, Bellevue; Ben (Michele) Meucci, Tacoma; sister Mary Vukovich, Tacoma; sister-in-law Madalen Jasprica, San Pedro CA; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Robert and Lea Meucci, Tarzana CA; 6 grandchildren, Katherine Stergachis, Andrew Stergachis, Michael Meucci, Katrina Ortblad, Margaret Ortblad, and Elizabeth Meucci. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Leo's Catholic Church, 710 S. 13th St. Tacoma, on Tuesday, August 9, 2005, 12:10pm. A luncheon will be held after the Mass. The Rosary will be recited at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel (1002 S. Yakima Ave) on Monday, August 8th at 7:00pm. Entombment in Calvary Cloisters.
