Katherine Ann Evansich

Obituary Kate was born in East Helena, MT on August 25, 1913. She died in Tacoma on December 16, 2011 at the age of 98. Kate's family moved to Old Town when she was a child. In 1936 she married Joe Evansich. She was a devoted homemaker who loved to cook, garden and entertain. She and Joe were most happy to be at Northhilla on Maury Island. Many great times were enjoyed with friends and family. She was predeceased by her husband Joe and sisters Mary Kehr and Ann Wingerter. She is survived by her daughter Rose Marie (Gerald) McNamara of Tacoma, sisters Rose Rice of Helena, MT and Margaret Hoffman of East Helena, MT, brothers John Stipcich and Joe Stipcich of East Helena, MT and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of Holy Cross Church, Catholic Daughters of America and Pt. Defiance/Ruston Senior Center. The family wishes to thank Tacoma Lutheran Home. Donations may be made to Holy Cross Church or your favorite charity. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, December 22, 2011, 11am at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
