Obituary June Esther (Smith) Rolsma June Esther (Smith) Rolsma passed away peacefully and joined her parents, husband, and sisters in heaven on April 13, 2009. She was born September 15, 1922 in Potsdam, NY to George S. Smith and Lena (Clough) Smith, the fourth of five children. She grew up in Potsdam, NY and graduated from Potsdam High School and Massena School of Business. June married the love of her life, Barney Rolsma on November 24, 1948 in Potsdam NY. After Potsdam, they lived in Plainfield, NJ, Schenectady, NY, Shelbyville and West Lafayette, Indiana, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, and Topsfield, Massachusetts. June worked at the American Baptist Convention in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania and Proctor School in Topsfield, MA. In 1990, Barney and June retired to Florida and in 2005 they relocated to Tacoma to be close to family and resided at the Weatherly Inn. June enjoyed traveling with Barney and was dedicated to her family. She was preceded in death by Barney Rolsma, her loving husband of 59 years, 11 months and her sisters Virginia (Smith) Campbell of Fine, NY and Jean Smith of Potsdam, NY. She is survived by her children; Greg Rolsma of University Place, WA, his wife Sonja and their children Michelle and Garrett; Mark Rolsma of Salem, CT, his wife Valerie and their children Stephanie and Andrew. Surviving siblings include Viola (Smith) Burkett of Ogdensburg, NY and Aras Smith of Potsdam, NY.
