Judi Streepy

October 16, 1946 - August 27, 2021

Judith Ann (Wasalino) Streepy was born at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tacoma, Washington on October 16, 1946 and passed away August 27, 2021 at Tacoma General Hospital. She was the daughter of Steve and Agnes Wasalino.

Judi attended Franklin Elementary School, Jason Lee Junior High School and graduated from Wilson High School in 1964. After graduation, she went to work for Puget Sound National Bank in central accounting. She married Frank Streepy in August 1968 and began her adventure as a Navy wife. Together they enjoyed new living experiences in Long Beach and San Diego, California, Washington, DC., Adak, Alaska with final assignment to Bangor Naval Base in Bremerton, Washington. Returning to Tacoma in 1980. Judy resumed her banking career working for Key Bank. Later she went on to Columbia Bank as an Insurance Specialist and retired in 2016.

She was so very proud of her daughter Chrissi and especially enjoyed her role as "Grammy" to grandchildren Matt and Megan. She was a true Northwest fan of the Mariners and Seahawks. She and Frank were season ticket holders for many years of the Tacoma Tigers (now Rainiers).

Surviving family members include husband Frank, daughter Chrissi Garrett (Tod), grandchildren, Matt (Emily) and Megan Matteo of Vancouver, Washington, brother Steven Wasalino (Diane), and niece Dara Wasalino Tremblay (Chris)  along with numerous cousins in the Tacoma and Buckley area. She was proceeded in death by her parents and her infant son, Gregory Streepy.

Services will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 1pm at the Gaffney Funeral Home, 1002 South Yakima Avenue in Tacoma with a small reception following.
