Obituary Joyce D. Moriarty 6/10/1933 ~ 3/2/2015 Joyce was born to James and Florence Keenan in Great Falls, MT. She was one of four children. Joyce attended schools in Great Falls, and St. Mary's College in Xavier, KS where she studied on a scholarship to pursue her passion to play concert piano. Joyce married Robert E. Moriarty in 1953. She is survived by six children, Kevin (Tacoma), Sean (Concord, CA), Duff (Graham), Casey (Ramona, CA), Conan (Tacoma) and Margaret (Lake Havasu, AZ); sister, Sue Miller (Georgetown, TX); 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and son, Timothy who died as an infant. Joyce was an acclaimed cook, enjoyed playing bridge, and was an active bowler for many years. She played the organ at St. Ann's Cathedral in Great Falls and at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tacoma. She was very strong in her faith. She also served as a volunteer in the office at Bellarmine Prep and taught piano locally. Joyce will be remembered as a kind, loving, and devoted wife and mother. She was most proud of her children and happiest when surrounded by family and friends. A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at St. Patrick Catholic Church (1123 No. J St., Tacoma).
