Obituary Josephine (Bucsko) St. Thomas Died on October 13, 2015. "Jo" was born March 19, 1924 (St. Joseph's Day) in Butte, Montana, the 12th of 13 children, to George W. and Annie D. Bucsko. Moving to Tacoma at the age of 6 months she later graduated from Stadium High School and attended Knapp's Business College. During her business career, Jo worked for the Fisher Department Store, Bon Marche, St. Paul & Tacoma Lumber, St. Regis, and International Paper; serving in accounting positions and later as purchasing manager for forest products. She also volunteered and served on the board of directors of Westop Credit Union (later Sound Credit Union) for 27 years. Jo married Don St. Thomas in 1946. They spent 47 years together enjoying family and friends. They especially enjoyed pleasure boat cruising during the summertime and were members of the Tacoma Yacht Club. In the fall, as season ticket holders, they were passionate Washington Husky football fans for over 40 years until Don's death in 1993. Following his passing, Jo continued to attend Husky football games for another 20 years. She was a parishioner at Holy Cross Catholic Church serving as a Lay Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters. Jo was preceded in death by her beloved brothers and sisters, George, Elizabeth, Agnes, Peter, Rose, Margaret, Frances, Helene, Edward, Raymond, John, and Anna. She is survived by many nieces and nephews who will greatly miss her. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Thursday, October 29, 2015, at 11 am. A rosary will precede the Mass with a reception in the Church Hall to follow. Memorial contributions can be made to the Annie D.
