Josephine Logi Lowe

Obituary Josephine Logi (Stemkoski) Lowe, born November 2nd 1919 in Pe Ell, WA to Polish immigrants Stanley Stemkoski and Elizabeth Potaczek, peacefully passed away on January 3, 2012. Married to Robert Z. Lowe on December 28, 1946, Jo was the cherished mother of Lloyd, Robert, Barbara and Sharon; the beloved grandmother of Josue, Sonja, Jonathan, Ethan, Peter, Nina, David, Josie, Kara, Olivia, Andrew and Irene; and a proud great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert and daughter Barbara. As an Air Force spouse, Jo and the family lived in many states and countries before retiring to Tacoma, WA in 1976. Jo's life of gardening, cooking and caring for others made ordinary things holy. Her unconditional love, patience, and spirit of hospitality endeared her to her family and a large circle of friends. A Rosary will be recited at 7pm on January 12, 2012 at Gaffney Funeral Home, 1002 S. Yakima Ave, Tacoma 98405. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on January 13, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4520 McKinley Ave, Tacoma 98404.
