Josephine Cronan Humphry Emmons

Obituary Josephine Humphry Emmons Josephine (Josie) went to heaven September 4, 2011 in the arms of her devoted daughter. Josie was born in Los Angeles on August 3, 1920, and grew up in San Francisco and on the Peninsula. She attended the old Hillsborough School, Notre Dame des Victoires, boarded at Notre Dame (Belmont), and was a proud graduate of the Convent of the Sacred Heart, San Francisco. Following high school she attended Lone Mountain College in San Francisco and the University of Oregon, Eugene. A bright spirit who embraced life with practicality and love, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert, her parents Josephine and Harry Humphry, and her two sisters. She is survived by her daughter Josie Emmons Turner, her son-in-law William, and her step-grandson Whitman. The funeral Mass is Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11:00 at the Church of St. Patrick, 1001 North J St. followed by a reception at the family home.
